This is an African species with a rachis that took months to develope. The flowers are still not opened but I think the buds are so cool!! Looks like little woodpeckers :)

There were a few in bloom at the last GNYOS. The best plants I saw however were from Andy's Orchids display, HUGE round balls of flowers, on everything. UNREAL!
 
Andy and his Laptop always gets me in too deep. I usually spend 2-3 days at GNYOS helping out at the Piping Rock Table or visiting Andy :rollhappy:

I will update the thread when the flower opens
 
Like the talk of new Phrags species, Andy's $care$ me. I hope one day when they pack up from the show they send everything to my house by mistake. Then I can quit my job and follow that dream. E.
