This guy is a recent acquisition that had no noticeable spikes when I left for Texas/California. When I returned 14 days later, it was in high bud with a second spike on the way. Sorry for the lack of a decent background. This is one of my absolute favorite orchid species. Smells like an empty baitwell the day after a fishing trip.

I adore this exclusive flower shape; I have Bulbo. ornatissimum, that looks pretty much like this one, also for the smell!! Jean
 
Beautiful close ups even without a back drop! It looks as if it's mounted on cork?
