Brassavola cucullata, picked this up at the last Maryland Show (03.20) from Ecuagenera.
I was surprised by the large size of the teretes, and it was grown in a wet moss netting material. This was odd to me because I distinctly recall killing one by overwatering it.
I decided to put it in Growdan grow cubes and a net basket. You can see the roots, all of the roots and new growth. The plant really took off only after the summer temps kicked in.
Very fond of this species, looking forward to seeing what it can do in the future and if I can encourage more than 1 growth.
Sorry about the rough pictures, the basket is wired in pretty good.
