Box store phal #2

Well I bought one box store phal last winter, liked it so a month later saw this one and really liked the color so I bought another one. The color really does have some green in the yellow. The spike and buds are all bunched together because the plant was growing next to and through my papyrus plant on a west facing kitchen windowsill so it was needing to tunnel through to the light









I dont remember if it was Lowes or Home Depot I bought this phal (or #1) from. To tell the truth, I see the exact same plants at both, and could have bought one from each or both from one. I never looked for a name tag, not expecting to find one that was a real cross name

It is VERY pretty. The box stores here have trash plants.

This is funny: in 2015 I a bought a plant like yours at the local Leroy Merlin a 'home improvement store' as they call themselves, which is opening its first flower on a new spike right now. It could be the same cross:


Same crowded yellowish-greenish flowers, whitish center, short whiskers, light red dots and stripes. When I got the plant I googled for a possible name and it could be Taida Smile.

Yes, that looks just like it, and pics online. I think if I staked upright it would spread a little more. This bright color at this time of year is some very needed cheer!
