Bougainvilleanum in low bud

It has already flovered 1 1/2 year ago. Plant has very strong roots. Species has a bad behavour: it is always single growth, older growth dies back slowly while new one gets bigger.So this one cannot be propagated by division.

Did you try to give more fertiliser ?
I had the same issue with à White complex Paphiopedilum which is an eavy feeder more than the 55 others of my collection, I change and give more water and fertiliser and it develops à lot flowered and make strong growths
