So what is the medium inside the clay pots? Is it the clay pellets?

Yeah it is mostly PrimeAgra from Ray which is a brand of LECA. I have a little bit of moss too--the LECA wicks pretty well, but I still try to get some long strands of sphagnum down into the reservoir of water and have them run up to towards the top of the pot when I use these specific pots.

I haven't particularly noticed so I would say that it doesn't change much. However, I have two buds currently opening so I'll try to keep a better eye on it to see if there is any change.
