I like the "unseen" shadowy parts in photography. The shadows often
highlight parts of the plant that I sometimes don't notice. Very artsy
fartsy as a professional photographer friend of mine says.

The first one is very dramatic in lighting, somewhat like Rembrandt's. The second is more descriptive of the flower.
