Nothing wrong at all... quite the opposite! 'Hear, hear' is "... used during a speech or meeting to say that one agrees with what someone just has said" (Merriam-Webster). You often hear the expression as an exclamation during debates in the British House of Commons as support or to express consent when someone from your own party speaks!
