I'm not trying to make Grandma jealous, but it is a cool flower worth sharing. The smell potential is very erratic. Sometimes you have to stick your nose right in it, and sometimes you can smell it from a few feet away.

Thanks for sharing. It does make me jealous. I wanted that plant sooooo much and I paid $60.00 + shipping to get what was supposed to be echinolabium. I WILL get one yet. I don't want to order sight unseen again.

Hopefully I will see one at the show In Grand Rapids in Feb. I don't remember seeing any there other years, although I must confess, I wasn't looking for one then.
I have to admit my carunlatum is pretty. It has bloomed for a long time and is now putting out a new growth. I sound like a spoiled little kid, but.........it is not what I wanted.
