B. blumei bigger and better.

This flower is more than a cm longer and wider than when it got its AM, and its been producing these big'uns for the last couple of weeks.

The flowers only last for about 5 days. So timing has to be perfect. I've shown it (at regular shows) a couple of times with more flowers open than for the original award with no success. I need to catch it when there are about 5 or so of these big flowers open, and get it to a center.

I'm afraid that if I take it to a regular show it gets lost against the backdrop of 300 or so other flowering orchids, and the judges realy don't have time to notice an extra centimeter. If I clean it up good, and catch it with about a dozen or more open blooms then it might grab enough attention for a CCE, and at that point if the flowers are exceptional the upgrade of the quality award is possible.
