Some pics of my (Ascocenda Varat Fuschia x Rynchostylis Coelestis) x Aerides lawrenceana that I got in Bangkok.. I saw some forms even deeper blue than this one.

I think the Asco x Rhyncho parent is now called Vascostylis Sasicha.

Sadly the flowers are half the normal size, poorer form and not as many blooms as the plant just came out of quarantine and needs to recover more.

I love it and can hardly wait to see when the flowers have improved! Please do post new photos after the plant has recovered and rebloomed! This is truly lovely in a very special way! Does it have any scent?

That is GORGEOUS! How long is the quarantine period? Where is the quarantine done? Do you have any involvement in the care; or, are you reliant on a government employee to care for your plant properly?

Sure, I will post again when the plant as recovered and blooms again. I am collecting pollen off it and storing it for hybridising.

YEs, it us moderately fragrant. It smells citrussy, with a hint of cinnamon.

This plant came in via Perth AQIS and was housed there. I had no access to it during the six or so months it was there. I now use a government quarantine house in Brisbane and I can visit plants any time. I am about to get a load of plants out after three months.
