Another triploid Fritz

It’s been three years since I bought this as a small seedling from the Fischer’s. The parents are the best, besseae ‘robs choice’ x kovachii ‘Tesoro morado’. It’s at least 3n and could be more.
I don’t find this particular cross to be quick growers, not compared to other triploid Fritz’s which can be very vigorous.
Anyway this is the first flower, 10cm across with a dimpled pouch. The whole plant is only just over a foot across after three years. I’ll remove the whole spike next weekend.
At least the colour is ok and the flower is very flat.Fingers crossed for further improvements in future years.

Sorry for the photo quality but it is sub zero outside so no chance of using my usual perch,

Lovely shade of deep pink and I'm sure the
bloom will improve on that well developed
new growth. Is that snow I see outside the
window??? Is that unusual for your area?
