We are nearly at the end of the purpurata season. Just carnea to open in a few days.
I prefer this colour form photographed in full sun.
You get to see the different coerulea shades on the lip this way.
The purple shows up much better.
Indoors it tends to be a greyish.
This year there are two leads and eight blooms.
I love it. It’s such an unusual colour.

Linus, yes indeed. Catts appear to be quite amenable to being grown as house plants!

I love its straight stem with perfect , loose arrangement of flowers.👍🏆👌🍻

I am working on it Leslie!
Now that I am retired, I have more time to spend on their culture.
I think I was under watering them when they were in full growth,
