The new growth on my P. besseae has had some strange yellow patches for a long time. It has pretty much grown like that.

Notice the spotting. I think I may have accidentlly hit it with Physan back when it was a much smaller growth.

There's a newer leaf from the growth. It's been like that for as long as i can remember. It doesn't strike me as the pre-leaf-tip-burn-yellowing, either. The tissue seems perfectly healthy.

Any ideas?

That looks like damage from scale or mealybug....not that you necessarily had them, but I have seen those critters leave markings like that on leaves long after they are gone. another possiblility...chlorosis from either lack of fertilizer or wrong fertilizer pH? Take care, Eric
