    I got this as Aeranthes longipes (a synonym) two years ago from Louisiana Orchid Connection. I didn't extensively check the ID, but it seems to be right. I'm growing it at cool-end of intermediate, but it seems to be a fairly slow grower under this condition. The semi-transparent green flower is pretty.

    How did this get the species name of “strangulata”?
