I went for a walk in a conservation area this morning. I estimated I saw approximately 200 rosettes of Goodyera pubescens and an estimated 20 dried flowers "spikes." I also saw Goodyera tessellata, Amanita bisporigera (Destroying Angel Mushroom), and what I think might have been Chanterelles.
Pictures are:
1. Goodyera pubescens
2. Goodyera pubescens patch growing in a rotted log.
3. Goodyera pubescens patch. This was just one of the patches we discovered.
4. Goodyera tessellata. This was the only plant of this type we discovered.
5. Amanita bisporigera (Destroying Angel.) This was an immature specimen, but as the common name suggests, still VERY deadly.
6. Chanterelles? I wasn't sure, and I'm not a mycologist, so I didn't pick them.
