A new flower bud after 2 years

I bought this multi-floral hybrid about 2 years ago with flowers. Last year, I was disappointed for no new flower from the new growth. Few days ago, I found a new flower bud with dark brown colour. There was chance that the dark brown colour may be sign of decay or drying out of the bud. Luckily, I found it today growing. Hope the bud can survive ultimately.

I only ever flowered one so far and the bract that protected the bud was dark and in my case it took a long time. The bud looks good to me.

Updated photo this week. the flower stalk has grown a bit taller and the flower bud is really dark brown in colour. There is no sign of decay or drying out.

Thank you for your viewing and kind words, troy! Attached is updated photo this week. Although the dorsal veins are quite congested, I was attracted, when i bought this, by the rather yellow instead of brown pouch, making a higher contrast with the dark petals. I am quite happy this year that the petals length can maintain slightly longer than the height of the plant.

Yours is special, the shoulders on the petals are broad and wide, very nice!!!
