Here is a pic a 4n Maudiae. I believe that this has been tested and is a genuine 4n. The flower was huge, I couldn't get in to measure it but it looked to be much larger that 'The Queen' and any other Maudiae anyone knew of..

Are tetraploid Maudiae's really that slow to grow and bloom? Supposedly, that is why there aren't that many of them around...Take care, Eric

Eric, the Tet' Maudiaes are much slower than than the norm'. That is to say that they will make a growth and flower only once per year and are not usually multiple growth makers. I my experience, normal 2n or 3n Maudiae flower twice a year for me and make multiple growths most of the time.
