    Two types of Paph. dayanum

    I think the larger one is low land species and smaller one is highland species. Temp wise intermediate, but the lowland one love love heat and humidity. I got one with leaf span of over 12" and flower 5" across. Very long lasting.

    Either way it looks very nice. Both FG & WCM unbloom plant looks almost identical. FG usually carry only one flower, but WCM are known to produce double flower frequently. But yeah all the WCM, flower has very deep canary yellow. My WCM is in bud know, will post it once it blooms.

    I think P. dianthum is alot more compact. P. parishii can be big and get close to rothchidianum size.

    I have same one from Ecugenera. I pot it in small pot with lots of drainage hole/ 1/3 of the pot is lava rock and the rest bark mix with some coconut chips. I notice the roots always going keep growing on upper surface where it get dry after a day or two.

    How do you grow Phrag Grande? I know it needs higher light than most besseae, but the potting mix. Is bark mix good?

    love it ... hirsutissimum always make impressive clumps. one of my all time favorite paph.... :)
