I believe that that is a semi-concolor. I've never seen a C. gaskelliana with ruffles on the border of the petals. I wonder if there might not be a little something else in there, too.

Beautiful V. barnesii!! V. barnesii has a dorsal sepal that folds back (like yours), and the side-lobes of the lip extend above the column (also like yours). Very close cousin to V. javierae, but yours is without-a-doubt V. barnesii. I've grown both, and learned to tell the difference.

Don't know about phals, but sometimes I've seen extra light cause vanda leaves to shorten up somewhat. Asconopsis Irene Dobkin 'Elmhurst' has short leaves, but they are not as round as those.
