    Water quality

I use a catalytic carbon filter in my RO system and also one for our drinking water. Catalytic carbon filters are said to remove 99.9% of chloramine.

    cattleya violacea alba

Thank you. So the C. violacea is in a coarse bark, yet covered by a seedling size bark mix. My seedling bark is 3mm to 6 mm, and coarse is 12 - 18 mm.

In another thread you mentioned a 1-1-1 combination of seedling bark, seramis, and pumice. Do you use that combination for C. violacea also?

    Roth Mont Millais sib cross

So even though this is its first-time blooming, the differences are too great to say it could have MM as a parent? In any event, it’s the first roth I’ve ever tried blooming, so I’m happy. There are three additional growths, too.

    Two Paph rothschildianums

Since the topic here is roths, is anyone familiar with the sib cross ‘#65‘ x Mont Millais? I have one in spike now, which came from Hilo.

    What is that smell?

If it were mine, I’d give it a good 3 months or so without any water tray whatsoever, in order to let the roots strengthen on their own. Transplanting can be a shock.
