FIRE SALE! - 20+ Phrags and 20+ Paphs for sale (UK only).

** Updated with current reservations. ** Hello everyone, With a slightly heavy-heart, I've decided to 'get out' of Orchid growing at least for the foreseeable future. I grow under lights in a spare bedroom in the house but due to time constraints, needing to re-appropriate the room for other...

First Flowering - Eric Young (is it really?)

I'm growing to like this (pun intended) ;) Just re-measured this first flower now it's fully extended and it's 6.5" across and 3" from bottom of pouch to top of dorsal. I't branching now too :) If it manages 2 flowers at once I'll post another pic.

New arrivals from Malvern International Show

I am very pleased with the Pink Panther. It had two spikes on it when I bought it bare-rooted from the guys at Ecuagenera and although I hoped, I didn't really expect it to flower properly once I'd potted it up.

First Flowering - Eric Young (is it really?)

I have struggled to get nighttime temps down below 21c/22c recently to be fair. Daytimes are up in the 28c/29c.

    Paphiopedilum nivium alba

First flowering of my second nivium alba (both bought last year from Popow in Germany).

First Flowering - Eric Young (is it really?)

Might need some help with ID'ing this one actually. Bought as an Eric Young a little under two years ago. This is the first flower it has produced. Really quite yellowy-green with very little orange pigment - not what I was expecting at all TBH... Lovely size at over 5.5" across but that...

Just tidying up my record keeping. Can anyone ID this seller?

I bought a couple of multi-florals from this (German I think) seller at Malvern on the 16th June. Lovely plants but I like to keep a record of who I bought what from and didn't think to take a card or anything from him on the day. Can anyone tell me who he is/what nursery, etc? Luckily I took...

    Paph David Ott

Superb! Just getting into multiflorals myself (courtesy of the same Malvern show last week) so this gives me something to aspire to. Congrats on the award :)

    New Phrag. Book!

Hi Naoki, I called Kew this afternoon and left a message for them to come back to me regarding this book and when it would be available. Received a call back this evening saying it should be available for purchase from Kew online bookshop mid-July. Just in case anyone else wanted to know. I...

    Malvern International Orchid Show UK

Seriously, I know you know far more than I about orchids but I can only go on my limited knowledge and what I've read in front of me. I wasn't sure if you could make out the name tag on the photo so double-checked my higher res version and posted accordingly ;)

    Malvern International Orchid Show UK

Well.... It was labeled up as an Eric Young and received a first place in the Amateur Phragmipedium category... Eric Young 'Orange Harmony' to be precise.
