    Paphiopedilum hookerae

Paph hookerae is blooming for the second time. I took the fotos a bit late, so the petals are already strongly reflexed. The staminode is hard to take pictures of, as it is bent downwards into the lip.

    Bulbophyllum lobbii

Another bulbo is in bloom, I nearly missed it, as it is growing under a bunch of other plants. The flower closes at night, see last pic.

    Paphiopedilum supardii

My supardii is blooming with five flowers, last time it were only three. It has a leafspan of 100 cm. What bothers me a bit are the guttation drops of sugar all over the flowers. I have no idea what causes it, as no other paph shows that effect.

Paph leaf issue, next episode: gratrixianum

Hi, my gratrixianum hasent bloomed for 8 years now, therefor I neglected it completely and didn't mind if leaves were getting wet in caring for neighbouring plants. Now by chance I discovered a severe damage. I think It is bacterial infection (acidovorax?). Should I throw it out right away or...

    Bulbophyllum longiflorum

My only mounted orchid. I never thought it could work. It's hanging at my window sill and irrigation goes with my paphs, once or twice a week.

    Paphiopedilum purpuratum

Here is one of my new acquisitions of last year: 5th foto is done in netural light for colour reference. And again there is the effect that after a while the dorsal curls backwards. The first days after opening it was perfectly flat as in foto no. 6. (Sorry for the colour, it' my growlight)

    Paphiopedilum urbanianum

My P. urbanianum is blooming for the second time. I love the markings of the staminode. At first I was disappointed, as when the flower opened it looked like it would wither before opening. It had a strange angel and a quite different brownish colour compared to last time. (next two fotos)...

    yellow leaves on paph. gigantifolium

Hello, my gigantifolium is getting yellow leaves what makes me realy nervous. On the first two fotos taken under grow lights it is obvious. For comparison it stands between kolopakingii (left) and platiphyllum (right). The last two fotos are done under normal light withour flash. I already...

    Paphiopedilum helenae

Here is another helenae. The flower is not my merit, just bought it and it arrived with two buds, one of them is still closed. Just for colour reference the last two are without flash.

    Paphiopedilum lawrenceanum var hyeanum

Here are some fotos of my paph lawrenceanum var hyeanum. Sorry for the quality but my camera can't do better. The colour of the third foto is closest to reality. Growth is good, flowering once a year only rootgrowth is slow. Last repotting was this spring.

Paph William Trelease leaves getting yellow

Hi, the leaves of my Paph William Trelease are getting yellow (see photos). What could have caused it? Might it be overwatered? The root system is not great, but there are at least two roots growing. Thanks a lot in advance! Michael

    Paphiopedilum St. Swithin

As I had no time to post pictures in spring I try to keep up now. Here Paph St Swithin which I repotted meanwhile. I had to destroy the old pot, the roots were to compact. Now it is in a 21 cm pot. Not repoting it for 2 years was probably a mistake... What would you do in such a case?

    Paphiopedilum acmodontum
