How to pick out the best seedlings

Looking at this one, it makes me think of “walkeriana” ‘Kenny’ FCC/AOS which was later found to be C. Snow Blind

    Utricularia bisquamata 'Betty's Bay'

You can get regular U. bisquamata pretty easily, but the Betty’s Bay cultivar is a particularly showy cultivar. I have always grown mine sitting in a saucer of distilled water but it hasn’t flowered since I moved. I may need to dry it out a little. Very hard to find this cultivar still. I...

    Paphiopedilum Krull`s Glacier (Mrs. White)

Yes, Popow brought those to a few of the Apopka Festivals/ Symposiums These are from a remake that they were able to clone in Europe, not the original make of the hybrid that was made a few years earlier at Krull-Smith.

Do you know who awarded Cattleya Dinard?

Yes, Laura can help with issues on awards, but she's definitely not the right person to talk to about programming and functionality etc.

    C. lueddemanniana

Those eyes on the lip definitely remind me of warscewiczii. The only other ones I can find online with those eyes are the Stanleyi flammeas or ones that are being questioned as a hybrid.

Do you know who awarded Cattleya Dinard?

All it takes is sending a quick message over, Laura is great about responding to that kind of stuff - though it may take a few days sometimes. Usually it’s done in a few hours.

Do you know who awarded Cattleya Dinard?

This has been fixed. According to Laura “It was due to Blue Heaven being listed as the old Laeliocattleya instead of Cattleya.” Hope this helps 👍

    Bulbophyllum Taiwan Cicad (I think)

Yeah you've got the name right. The other plant they also sell as Bulb. arfakianum green is a new species in the process of being described from Ambon Island

    Another water quality thread

Luckily, I am occasionally still on ST, but unfortunately I don’t remember too much about whether the leaves got glossier from using rainwater/distilled water Now I work at a nursery, and there should be about 200 ppm in the water without fertilizer etc. Bellina and other Polychilos / novelty...

    Tamiami Orchid Festival

If I’m not mistaken, they were at Springwater’s booth, but I believe they are from Fajen’s Orchids plants since he was at the booth as well

Cattleya aurantiaca 'Mishima Spots' (first time bloomer)

Searching for it as Guarianthe aurantiaca 'Mishima Spots' might bring up more options It looks like Seattle Orchids has the clone and Krull-Smith has the selfing. Might be a few more available too

Cattleya aurantiaca 'Mishima Spots' (first time bloomer)

Selfing it also creates spotted plants. I’m also aware of selfings of ‘Spotted Queen’ that came out true to color

1st International Vanda and Slipper Orchid Symposium

I can provide some info for this one! On top of the Symposium at the Highland Manor with speakers like Dr. Motes, Bob Fuchs, Peter Lin, Harold Koopowitz, etc., the actual vendors will be located at Krull-Smith and they will have all those greenhouses open. There should be 15+ vendors at the...
