    Help! Orchis questions

Trying again. I got a couple orchis bulbs and need to make a 'well draining" and "low nutrient" mix. Think these 2 will work?

    Feed

Some Phrags I bought had little pale beads in the media. A slow release feed I assume. Anyone know of problems using Osmacote in slippers?

Another vendor in Apopka, Orchids in Bloom

On the way home I was able stop by an old acquaintance. Last time I was there one room was just piles of orchids. The place is now mostly very organized, with tons of Dendrobiums, Cattleyas, Vandaceous plants, etc.. there was even a table of Chia-Hua Paphs. OFE is located on site. Next year...

    Roses

Hi. Our coop group has 30+/- large roses and the older ladies who used to work out back are mostly no longer with us or able. I have cut off the rose hips so the plants don't waste energy on unneeded seed. What would be a good time to add supplements, like bone meal, to the plants?

    I think, Phrag longifolium.

Not the longifolium album on the label from Ecuagenera but the price was too good for that to be true.

    Phrag Ivan Portilla

    Experiment

Last time I visited H.P. Norton He said that lime was beneficial, actually essential, to good Phrag growth. Last weekend I was in Lowes and bought a bag and have added a teaspoon to all my Phrags. I will post up to see if there is any improvement.

    The old days.

I started growing orchids maybe 14 years ago. At the time there were a great number of growers, Hoosier, Parkside, A World of Orchids, etc. that I could visit and get interesting plants. I tried to grow anything because I'm in it partially for the challenge. A lot of the old growers have closed...

    Phrag. Bubblegum

Although I have another seedling, the heat and prolonged blooming has killed my Phrag. Bubblegum. Since the source is out of seedlings does anyone have one they want to sell? Thanks.

    eBay - LetstalkPlants

I know a bunch of people here probably got in on the Phrags Tony had on auction. Whoever outbid me on the St. Ouen flavum and the Panther Run, let me know if you are willing to divide when they get big enough, Thanks.
