This ist fantastic. Congrats! I saw one plant at Regine Elsner three yeara ago. Later she told me that her Alba bloomed and then she sold it. Maybe same plant?

Hey. I know your posting is a year old, but if you are still looking for amethystoglossa coerulea, you can find three different types with Orchideen Lucke in Germany. See here: Orchideen-Lucke best wishes, volker

    Phrag. caudatum x klotzschianum culture?

Hey Guys, from Ecuagenera I bought Phragmipedium caudatum x klotzschianum. Now the delivery has arrived. The plant is as I imagined it: Small size, narrow leaves, a lot of klotzschianum in it. As I don't know much about klotzschianum culture, I'm kindly asking for instructions! I potted it now...

    Colourful long-petalled Phrags?

Thanks a lot for replies and special thanks to mrhappyrotter for your explanations. You show a lot of reasons for breader's lack of interest in those crossings. Indeed the only Phrag rotted with me by to much water was a Ruby Slippers. Slowness and complications are good reasons to avoid such...

    Colourful long-petalled Phrags?

Thanks. Yes, maybe that's a reason. On the other hand, there are quite small humboldtii types available. Those I got from Ecuador are not huge, crossing them with besseae and them backcrossing it shall give moderate sized Phrags.

    Colourful long-petalled Phrags?

Dear guys, looking for a nice red or reddish long-petalled Phrag I found out that there are hardly any suitable crossings. I only see Phrag. Super Rubies and Ruby slippers as besseae-crossings with humboldti or caudatum and Ingrid Portilla as kovachii x warszewiczianum. These three are...

Phrag. schlimii var manzurii 'Fox Valley' (x self)

It's cold also in Germany. We had here -18°C a few nights ago. That manzurii is so so nice. Although I don't like pink, it is one of my favorites. Mine did not bloom till now.

    Fritillaria

Thanks, Ed. This Rareplants shop seems to have very interesting seeds. I will keep my eyes on it and will try recurva when they have it again.

Iiiiiiii’m dreaming of a whiiiiiiiite (longifolium alba) Christmas!

What an impressingly beautiful orchid. Is there somewhere a crossing with besseae flava? That could be interesting, some kind of a white/yellow Eric Young.

    Fritillaria

Berthold, that's a wonderful species. Do you know a vendor in Europe who is selling this? Where can I find a good choice of Frittilarias?

    Monstera variegated

Yes, Popow is in the business here.Probably he also would sell cauliflowers, if it fills the pockets... I'm watching these offerings with variegated Monstera here in Germany. It's not only adansonii, even the variegated deliciosa is still expensiv. These variegated Monsteras are always claimed...

    Phrag warszewiczianum

Congrats! That's such a beautiful orchid. The long petals are stunning. But I also like the whitish inner side of the pouch and the ring of dark markings at the edge of the pouch.

    Cattleya tenebrosa ‘Rainforest’ FCC/AOS

Lovely species. Your aurea is great! There shall be also an alba form out there, but who has it ever seen? Is yours smelling?
