    Trisetella

Picked up these two as a pre order from Ecuagenera at the paph forum in Jan, 2024. I wasn’t expecting them to adapt and bloom so quickly. I have been branching out to smaller species that grow in similar conditions as my phrags. I’ve had some luck and a lot of fun with a group of restrepia I...

Thanks, no clue. This is just what I was told when I purchased the plants. This was years ago. I have not even looked it up in the software.

Impressive compot tray. Looks like you have a bit of work ahead of you. With Rockwool I’m very careful when the media when it’s dry, I use a construction grade M3 respirator to keep the dust out of my lungs, and gloves to keep the fibers from irritating my hands. I wet the chunks down with a...

    Phrag. Jason Fischer ‘Cub Hill’

I have not had any root growth issues with the net pots. I even have my larger phrags in 12 inch net pots and they seem to be thriving. I have seen issues with grodan cubes in solid plastic pots, also aircone pots where the media stays too wet in the middle without air and the roots suffer...

Z2816: (besseae ‘Orange Crush’ x Mem. Dick Clements) This plant was acquired from The Little Greenhouse in October of 2023. It had been a number of years since they bloomed her out. Tom from TLG informed me that this came from the same flask that Hadley (Marriott Orchids) was awarded an FCC on...

    Cattleya maxima alba (lowland var.)

I believe this is the mature height. The division I received was very tall, the one lead I grew seems to match this length as well. It really does tower over all my other cattleyas and is less than a foot from my moving light, with exception to purpurata and tenebrosa.. it’s probably the tallest.

    Cattleya maxima alba (lowland var.)

This plant was acquired as a bare root division from Carter and Holmes in June of 2022. It’s growing in a predominantly large kiwi bark mix with a bit of grodan chunks, charcoal, and chunky perlite. It sits in a plastic net pot nested in a larger 6 inch aircone pot. After putting out a new...

    Phrag. kovachii ‘Grande’ x self

She is blooming again. We are about 14.5 cm across, so a little larger than last bloom. Hopefully I can get her to put on a few more growths this next season. Might need a larger pot, I have yet to move a kovachii up past a 1 gallon net pot. Does anyone have recommendations on how to conjure up...
