    Paph lowii aureum?

My first multifloral to bloom! Plant is marked album but I believe it’s considered aureum because of the markings. Does this plant tend to lean as it grows? Both of my lowii appear to have that habit. Any tips for staking? Based on the lean I wasn’t sure of the best approach.

Phrags Patty Wak and Michel Tremblay

First blooms of both. Love the size and color of the Patty Wak bloom, and the petite Michel Tremblay has produced four nicely shaped blooms on a very small plant (purchased from Bill/Woodstream last spring).

    Best apps/methods for inventorying/tracking collection

I’m sure this question has been asked before, but I didn’t find information when searching the forum. What software or apps are being used by hobbyists with small collections? I’ve created a spreadsheet this year as my new collection is bumping 300 plants, but curious if there’s something better...

    Paph Shun-Fa Golden

I purchased this SFG from Happypaphy7 in mid-July. It was in low-spike at the time so I can’t claim any credit for the blooming, but thrilled that I didn’t blast it while repotting it. I understand that it tried blooming a couple of years ago but blasted. The fragrance is great. Looks like it...

    Paph Fumi’s Delight

Received this plant in bud from Hillsview Gardens recently (micranthum ‘Woody’s AM/AOS x armeniacum ‘April Song’). Loved seeing it transform from a small bud to a yellow egg to this. How long does the bloom typically last for these?

    Wanted Paph fairrieanum album

I’ve found some great fairrieanums at Hillsview and Paph Paradise which are beginning to bloom. I’ve been on the hunt for a blooming sized album for some months but not having any luck. Does anyone have a source by chance? Thanks!

    Phragmipedium Don Wimber

Very pleased with the first blooming of this Don Wimber (Eric Young x besseae) from Paph Paradise. Its first bloom just glows and has looked great for days.

    Phrag Mountain Maid disappointment

First bloom for this Mountain Maid (besseae v. flavum ‘Golden Rays’ x hirtzii ‘Lucio’.) I’ve been anxiously awaiting its unfurling and was expecting/ hoping for better coloring. Mostly green with little coloring on the pouch. The plant is clean and vigorous but I’m on the hunt for one with...

Paph Double Citron x Hsinying Spring Green

First bloom. I’m in love with green and white and yellow and white flowers. And the hairs! Any tips on making thumbnails less grainy would be appreciated. The images appear correct once clicked on but are displaying quite grainy as thumbnails.

    Wanted Sources for Brachypetalum

Would love to know some good sources for quality Brachys if anyone is willing to share. (I’m in the US). I’ve seen listings at the nurseries I typically purchase from, but they have been out of stock for some time. Just saw a couple of new listings at Krull-Smith last night. Are they not as...

    Phrag. Cape Sunset

The first Phrag I purchased a few months ago has begun to bloom. Excited to see it with another bud! Dave (PaphParadise) notes that it’s one of the easier Phrags to grow. So far, so good.

    Wanted Cahaba Morning Mist

Interested in locating any of the Cahaba Morning Mist cultivars, if anyone has a division or seedling they’d be interested in selling. Or if you know of a source I’d appreciate it. Thanks, Sherri

    Issues with Mexipedium

Hi all, I acquired a couple of great Mexipediums several weeks ago. About a week ago, seemingly overnight, one developed some large areas of brownish-red discoloration on the top of a few leaves and the underneath has smaller, brown, dryish looking lesions. The top discoloration reminds me of...

Culture of Phrags that like it drier

Hi all, as someone who is fairly new to Phrags I have a question about culture of those that I understand like it a bit on the drier side, e.g., caudatum, exstaminodium, etc. I have been moving all of my new acquisitions into plastic (Rand) pots with a mixture of Leca and Grodan cubes. Not S/H...
