Very early planning for a greenhouse

I agree Ray... I would definitely do rolling benches next time.

Very early planning for a greenhouse

Your greenhouse project sounds very exciting! I sometimes wish I could start over on mine. I am on #3, #4 and #5 of my life. An 8' x 12' attached to the front of our library.. it faces north west, is shaded by enormous trees and has no source of heat or water. You also have to go through...

    Wanted 2.75" McConkey square pots

I agree that they look dirty but not used. I wish I had this pot for you.. I have a “clear” square at 2.75” x 3” tall.. 2” at the bottom. They are nice.

Cattleya root growth and mesh pots

My home depot sometimes has the slotted clay pots, but they are not nearly as available as they used to be. They are also difficult to ship without breakage, so are not a choice for online vendors.

Cattleya root growth and mesh pots

This has been a problem for years with slitted, slotted, holey pots. Some of my best sellers are the rimless pots with the slits in the side, but if you're careful you can sort of squish the slits to open them up and then slide the root out, other pots, including mesh pots, are much more...

Lost/buried tag, but probably a Fort Motte hybrid.

I love the spotted cattleya and this one rewarded me this weekend. It’s buried on the bench and I don’t see the tag readily available, but it’s most likely a Fort Motte hybrid. Enjoy!

    Wanted 2.25" x 3.25" clear square pots

Hi Rich - I am hoping to offer lot discounts in the future, but I'm currently feeling out reliable vendors who I can buy from repeatedly at the same/similar price. During the pandemic every time I turned around the prices had gone up without notification, and more than once I was obligated to...

    Wanted 2.25" x 3.25" clear square pots

McConkey said no possibility of getting these made in clear.. they are made over seas. I know, from what I know about actually making plastic pots, that it IS technically possibly.. so I guess they just don’t have the interest. Some of my favorite pots have come and gone over the years. I...

    Wanted 2.25" x 3.25" clear square pots

Me too! I used to buy them a thousand at a time. I heard back from McKonkey… they said these are not made in the Us.. they are made over seas and at this time there is no possibility to make them in clear. I’ll keep looking! I do have this pot.. it’s 2.75 so half an inch bigger and almost...

    Wanted 2.25" x 3.25" clear square pots

Thanks Ray! yes.. I still work with Chula, although I had not heard that Harry passed, and that makes me sad. We go way back... he was certainly a character. I have now written to McConkey about making a run.. last manufacturer I checked with for a specific pot required a full run of...

    Wanted 2.25" x 3.25" clear square pots

Very late to this party, but I just joined this forum last week. I'm Stef (of Quarter Acre Orchids) and I WISH I could get my hands on the original 2.25" tall pots.. I'd even take the new style with the mesh bottom if I could get them in clear/translucent, but there is zero information printed...
