    Orchids in Costa Rica

Beautiful pics Guru, thanks! Those Sobralias are outstanding. In Quepos and Manuel Antonio I saw Aspasia principissa and several colonies of Brassavola nodosa growing as lythophite straight on the beach.

    Orchids in Costa Rica

Thanks Guru for your pics, you light back memories up! Been two times in Costa Rica ('91/'95), it's a wonderful place for any green lover and more so for an orchid extimator. Did you see the elusive "Quetzal" ( Maya sacred bird) and the multitude of hummingbirds in Monteverde? Not so easy to...

    Fertilizer Question...

I get the chance to post here a question about fertilizer duration. I have more than 15 years old 15 kg. 20/20/20 and 30/10/10 (Peters) bags that I did not properly care for as I let humidity going in and resulted in a hard block. Is still the content good to be used? Thanks!

Paph. rothschildianum ' Rex x Mont millais Fcc/Aos'

Karp, Sorry but none of the above names make me help remembering the vendor, he was at the time only selling flasks no plants/seedlings. It was at least 20 years ago.

    Cattleya schilleriana 'Jacob x Gilsen'

First flowering of this nice schilleriana. The plant Is quite big with many bulbs but never bloomed before, maybe I kept It too shaded. Last autumn I moved her in a brighter position in the upper more ventilated part of the GH she definetely enjoyed!

Wanted To start a serious slipper collection in EUROPE

One year ago I got several paphs from Schwerter and now they are almost all blooming. Healthy plants, low prices I'm satisfied with them. The quality of the flowers, even if they are not awarded clones Is quite good. Don't know if they ship to French Guiana though.
