I bought this as a single-growth plant two years ago. When it first flowered I wondered whether it was a very good delenatii alba. Given that most delenatii alba I have seen are crap, I believe this is the real deal. The new growth took roughly a year to mature.

That was a few days ago. Three flowers, all different. One has a large, upward dorsal. I'll try Jakub Szlachetko (x fairrieanum). I believe I saw a cultivar from the originator (posted the pic here a while ago) and it was fine.

It has extremely wide petals. Mealies fed on it and sc**d the dorsal.

First fairrieanum begin to open. I got this one in low bud. It's not very good. Once I find a nice one I'll cross with best H. Ballantine I have (not the one bellow, but you get the idea). The outcome may be surprising.

Can someone explain why so few tranlienianum hybrids have been registered ?

I put it alongside parnatanum, I'm curious what would be the outcome.

Last week, I eventually came across a nice cultivar of a supposed Raisin Glory. In fact, this cannot be Raisin Glory as the outcome doesn't match, but that's still the best cultivar of the fake Raisin Glory I've seen so far. Most of the ones I had seen before had twisted dorsal. This one is flat.

Saturday and Sunday were Open days in France. I visited Senate's Greenhouses, and also L'Elysée (the President's home) which apparently has a little greenhouse ! The greenhouse gardeners have been doing paph. crosses for the past 150 years, so they've got a few things inside, especially on...

OI seedling. This one is well bellow expectation in terms of color, but I like the stance. At least, it still looks like a charlesworthii, contrary to a few awarded ones.

It's just opening. Dorsal is already massive, though less wide than the paph. Gael I saw two weeks ago. Do we have proof it's 3N ?
