    Repotting Question

I am mostly a Phal person, so I lurk here more than post. This is a complex that is ready to be repotted. Is my only option to bite the bullet and try to get it apart with as little damage as possible or does anyone have any good tips for getting this out and apart without half destroying it...

    Paph Olympic Spots

From Hillsview Gardens. I think I bought it last year. Maybe in 2013. I love it.

    (godefroyae x ang-thong alba)

May I never have to type that name out again. This flower is very cupped which is not easy to see in the picture. Someone told me this would probably be expected from this cross. I don't have a clue. I really like it though.

    Preparation for Transportation

I think this is the correct section of the forum. You can see from the pic that at some point when I was getting this plant home to take to my society meeting the next day, one of the flowers got a bit bent up. I'm not sure if I hit it, it was the wind, or maybe bouncing in the car. It was...

    Chui Hua Dancer

I don't post much here. I'm mostly into Phals. My slipper collection is limited. I really like this one though. I bought it from Big Leaf Orchids. There is one with 4 flowers just starting to open in the background. Ben

    (rothschildianum x Jan Ragan)

I bought this today at the Western NC Orchid Society show in Asheville, NC. So I can't claim blooming it myself, but I'm really happy with it and wanted to post.

    Calcium in Complex Subject :-)

I'm a Phal person who is dipping their toe into Paphs. I've been saying that for a few years, but it's still true and will be awhile. I love complex Paphs and have been told many times, A couple times a year just sprinkle a few bits of lime on top or the media because they need extra...

    Paph Angel Hair

Started to have a little luck with the few Paphs I have and wanted to post. Bought this in bud. It bloomed last week. Holding strong and my other Paphs are starting to look much better thanks to some some recent advice from a few Paphs friends.

    Pic from Marriott display

I thought you all would enjoy this picture from the Marriott display at the Western NC Orchid show this weekend. An iPhone is 11.5cm and this one has a case around it that probably adds a half cm. So this flower was easily 16-17cm. It was amazing.

    Substrate Level in Pot

I'm mostly a Phal grower, so sorry if this questions comes off a bit basic. As I've started to get my foot wet in Paphs, someone told me that a plant I had was potted wrong. They said Paphs require the substrate to come higher up the plant that with other type orchids. They told me that in...

Not sure which direction to take...

I'm not new to orchids, but I don't have much experience with Paphs. Didn't know whether to put this in the newbie section or the culture section. I've recently started a small collection of complex Paphs. I have about 6-8 that are blooming size. In the summer I keep my plants outside in...
