One kovachii hybrid- who would it be?

This isn't my first slipper, just the first phrag. Thanks all. Seems I can manage once a week watering. However, I don't have RO water, so that's another issue.

One kovachii hybrid- who would it be?

Well. I am second-guessing getting a phrag. Again. :( Essentially I have a rule in the house if you need water more than once a week you ain't going to get it. I adjust medium size according to plant and pot size to have everybody roughly getting watered once a week. I'm not sure how...

One kovachii hybrid- who would it be?

Oh dear. Not sure my first phrag should be a $300 one

One kovachii hybrid- who would it be?

I have very, very, very limited space. I'm about to pull the trigger on my first and probably only phrag. Peruflora Spirit. Before I do, is there another kovachii hybrid I should consider? It seems the Spirit is a good robust plant and produces huge longer lasting blooms?

    Paphiopedilum victoria-regina

Was this its first bloom? I have a victoria-regina with only one fan of leaves. Wondering how many years I have to wait:(.

New problem for me. Brown spots on new paph. Sunburn?.

Well shoot. I was hoping it was sunburn. I went ahead and wiped some copper fungicide on the leaves. I'll apply some Neem oil tomorrow. That's all I got on hand.

New problem for me. Brown spots on new paph. Sunburn?.

Spots haven't shown up on the few other ones I bought from the same vendor. I took those to work.

New problem for me. Brown spots on new paph. Sunburn?.

I got a paph. Dollgoldi last week. I put it in my East window kitchen countertop where my other paphs and phals are. And I have been slowly pushing it up a little closer to the window. Today I came home to discover some small brown spotting on the second leaf from the top on both sides. Is this...

Live moss as a permanent top dressing

Ah, Ok. I won't admit to what I do for a living. Ha.

Live moss as a permanent top dressing

And Tyrone- Leca clay will help increase evaporation in a tray? I thought leca held onto water? I have never used it so I am clueless....

Live moss as a permanent top dressing

Thank you all for the advice. It looks like i will need to go another route. Even with a moss that has roots that can dry out, I couldn't guarantee being able to mist it daily (or convince my co-worker to while I am away). Preserved sheet moss may work in this situation if I am careful, but...

Live moss as a permanent top dressing

Hmm, thanks Ray. I was hoping the trays with water and misting the moss once or twice a week would suffice. Maybe not. I wanted to avoid a humidifier and was hoping the trays would help. I might have to go the NZ sphagnum or a preserved moss...

Live moss as a permanent top dressing

Hi there! My first post here. So here is the situation. I am finally getting an office with a window! I'm very excited I would like to set up some paphs and phals on the windowsill. Because it's my office (and not my window at home) I would like to snazz them up a little bit and have it not too...
