    Phrag Yelva Myhre 'Oxblood' AM/AOS

I registered this one in 2014 named after my daughter. Its a cross made by Alfredo Manrique. This is the first time I have seen other plants than my own so thank you :p. Your flower seem typical, mine always give an extended flowering with up to 7 flowers.

Is it out of season? Mine are currently starting blooming again, think they bloom in summer as well, at least I found one picture from June?

    Some entries

Hi Jens, I have 10-12 (uncertain how many) of them, and all are different. They make a very colorful display indeed. That is not the best picture, I will make some new ones when they bloom later this fall. None are album, but some are quite close except for the pink pouch. The white one in the...

Jens, yes, this plant yielded quite big flowers, I have another in bloom as well with significantly smaller flower (only one flower though). The chlorotic leaves may come from light or due to some deficiency - I am uncertain but think it is light. Has been lots of sun here this year. btw have...

    Striped micranthum

In the back of my brain, there is something telling me that a striped variety of micranthum has been described. Anyone that knows anything about it?

    cheap DIY LED

No, do not think that plants bother. Nevertheless, I use it to grow salad and Herbs. Much faster than outdoors these days (even in greenhouses). I'll find out re. longivety.

    cheap DIY LED

Had a look at the video. Interesting. Seems that I got some that are slightly different, mine has an attached capacitor and this remioves flickering as far as I can judge. Also the size-I got the elongated design, perhaps they are better-who knows, time will show. :p

    cheap DIY LED

Naoki, have you seen the Integrated COB that has been offered for some time now? the driver is integrated onto the chip and everything becomes quite neat and you get rid of those bulky drivers. Connects directly to mains in other words...

    LED lights

Agree with the above, additionally there is one thing people should be aware of and that is the actual power supplied to the LED. With quite a few power supplies, particularly the cheap ones from China that you get on e-bay the current readings are way below specified. Why I know? I build my own...

    New Email from Wenqing Perner

Interestingly, Wenqing refers to my postings on henryanum christae from last year. Just an update on them; they are budding now, and will Bloom some time in the following months. I am a bit uncertain how many though but all have several growths.

    tigrinum

Yeah, it was a disappointment, but it gives me all those strange associations, from "The elephant man" to american politics these days. Weird isnt it?:p So, I think the crippled one has a value on its own. Definitely a keeper! On the other hand; it would have been nice to have two shapely...
