Eric Young 'Rocket Fire' 4N x schlimii 'Isolde'
Purchased as a seedling from Orchid Inn in 2013. This is its first flower and it's a bit marked on the dorsal from some aphid damage.
I received this from a friend in 2012 (it was suffering from severe drought), now pretty happy and happily pretty! I really like this pink tinged flower. It has two more buds coming along.
First time flowering, purchased in 2009 from Forestview. I was hoping for more yellow from the armeniacum parent, and the petals aren't a great shape, but I do love the white pouch with purple spotting inside.
Any idea what species this is? My brother and his wife are working and living in Kigali, Rwanda and purchased this and other orchids from a garden plant vendor. He thinks it's an Odontoglossum, but I think a Coelogyne of some kind. I've asked him to send another photo of the flower from the...
This is Paph henryanum 'Bear' SM/TPS x 'Bear-6', purchased from Ten Shin in 2013. Second season to flower. Very happy plant! Lovely color, lovely spots!

The plant was entered as Phrag Grande 'Vista' 4N x Phrag Demetria 'Mem Don Walklet' HCC/AOS. It was pulled for AOS judging, and awarded an...
First time flowering for me! First kovachii hybrid in my collection! Unfortunately it opened while I was away and was starting to degrade by the time my daughter and I could get it photographed. Sara staged it with my Paph concolor to get an idea of size.

Cattleya C.G. Roebling x Guarianthe bowringiana
(or the synonym Lc C.G. Roebling x Cattleya bowringiana)
A friend gave this plant to me 2 years ago to save and this is its first flowering for me. It lives on the south facing windowsill of...
This is the first time this plant has flowered in the fall, usually it flowers in the spring. Perhaps the repotting and dividing interrupted its usual routine. The flowers are quite chestnut colored this time, flowers in the spring are pink! Photo credit to my daughter Sara!
