    A few blooms of 2020

Thanks Troy. Maintaining Phrags in the long run needs a lot of discipline and dedication :) the colour on the Emma Decker is something else. The shape could be better, though.

    A few blooms of 2020

I love it too. a nice compact grower. Phrag. Alien Syndrome( klotzscheanum x humboldtii) x wallisii the cross was made by Robert-Jan Quene when he was working at Orchids Limited. The name comes from the Moody Blues song : Nights in White satin ...yeah.. I’m old enough ;)

We’re doing ok. Like the rest of the world we’re getting pretty fed up of shopping orchids online and orchid societies reunions via zoom and we miss you too! Hope everything is ok with you :)

Thanks :) actually, my Phrags hate summer. They like it intermediate all the time. But I try my best to give them what they need.

    In-Charm Lady ‘5B’ x concolor ‘In-Charm’

I don’t know yet. It’s the second time it blooms for me. On it’s first flowering I cut the flower stem and since it’s blooming in late fall and the temperatures in the growing area are lower the flowers might be lasting a bit longer and thus make multiple blooms at the same time. But the buds...

one flower this time around. but I still love this species. I guess that I have to put it back with the Cattleyas and Lycastes.. I'll need to rearrange some plants... again! lol

    Super Rubies

I'll probably do that. It climbs a little and I want to repot it and cover the base and see if it would help the next growth bloom better since it would have it's own root system. We'll see. I was also thinking of crossing it back to popowii. but I'm not sure if I'll have the patience to wait...

    Super Rubies

(besseae x warszewiczianum black) small flower huuuuge plant. a bit of a disappointment. not sure how a besseae and a popowii can produce such a big plant. not sure either if I'm keeping this one. takes up way too much space.

    Mem. Maria Teresa Fighetti

(Elizabeth Castle x kovachii) The colour is a bit off on the second picture. It got a little too sunny when I took the picture. Not much to say about this one. Reliable bloomer, medium size plant (for a kovachii hybrid), big flower.

    Suzanne Decker

(kovachii 'Laura' x Cape Sunset) I can't believe that I've been growing this plant for almost a decade now. Still one of my favorite Phragmipedium. :)
