    Cattleya Mareeba Tiger

@PeteM the fragrance is heavy, spicy, and sweet! I can smell it outside on my patio, when it's inside.

    Cattleya Mareeba Tiger

My favorite spotted cattleya is blooming again. This time it is up to 4 flowers. Not too shaby for me and my growing. Ha!

    Any Guesses?

Thanks all! I really appreciate the comments. I was thinking roth also but the petals are throwing me. Those are what lead me to the idea of a hybrid. Still i could see this being a poor roth, especially by today's standards. Whatever it is roth dominates. I doubt the flower count will continue...

    Phal. violacea ' Harford's Orange', AM/AOS

This is a lovely flower. Every time i see it I appreciate it's uniqueness. I also question the lineage a bit. I have also heard that selfing this clone produced variable progeny indicating that it is a hybrid, not a species. I would be curious to see it selfed again before tissue or other mass...

    Any Guesses?

After two years of wait for another lowii clone to bloom, imagine my disappointment as this bloom popped up. This is my first NOID multi floral - grrr. Any guesses on what I have here? Roth crossed with x ?? Yes, I will reach out to the vendor but i am curious what the knowledgeable folks on...

Paphiopedilum philipenense x Johanna Burkhardt on deck

Thanks all. @Ozpaph When it first opened, my thoughts were, "Great, I saw it flower. Now it can go." It was not that I did not like it. I just wondered if it was worth the space given some of the other multi-florals that i have hogging shelf space. It is all about space. Over the next month or...

    Paphiopedilum venustum var measuresianum

The two unbloomed siblings of this clone have slightly darker leaves. I am curious to see if the leaf color translates to any differences in the flower. Maybe a more yellow color🤔?

    Paphiopedilum venustum var measuresianum

Thanks, Tom. I really like this clone. Venustum took a while to grow on me. They are so unique looking that they are hard to resist.

This little one has been open for a couple of days. It is from Windy Hill's breeding.

    Paph. Greyi X micranthum

Keep it and give it another try. It's blooming for the first time on a small plant. It needs more time.

Paphiopedilum philipenense x Johanna Burkhardt on deck

All of the flowers are finally open. The final flower count is five. Not too shady for a first timer. Unfortunately, it is hard for the photo to capture the subtle red cast on the petals. Taking it into nature light would lightly help, but it has been cloudy and rainy for 5 days here. So taking...
