    Paph Chiara 'Littlefrog' AM/AOS

That sounds like an excellent idea, also! I look forward to seeing the result. Paph sukhakulii seems to give any cross good form. Also a good idea.

    Paph Chiara 'Littlefrog' AM/AOS

A little slow in responding, but possibly a good Macabre or any of its progeny would make good flowers. Krull Smith produced Paph Yaba Daba Doo = Chiara X Macabre. 5 have been awarded so far. Most Chiara crosses appear to have been done with the green form. Given the success of Paph Iantha...

    LaCrosse wireless weather station fail

I placed the sensor in an area that doesn't get sprayed on. It's too early to tell if humidity will degrade the sensor. The gateway is in the attached head house, away from any water issues.

    LaCrosse wireless weather station fail

When I couldn't get my LaCrosse sensor linked to the new router, I tried Govee sensors. They have worked well so far. They can be accessed via Bluetooth when close by or via the internet when linked to their gateway which links to your router. It was easy to set up, inexpensive, and you can...

    Paph exul x henryanum

Well grown! Many primary henryanum hybrids tend to have fewer and smaller spots than henryanum itself. This hybrid shows more spotting than most, most likely due to combining it with exul which also has strong spotting on the dorsal. When you cross an henryanum hybrid back to henryanum or...

I look forward to seeing them.

Paph Wossner Ministar 'Deerwood Spots' AM/ AOS

Awarded a year ago in October at the Eastern Iowa Orchid Society Show. As usual, I forgot to take a picture prior to the show. Here is this year's bloom.

Paph Tiny Leopard 'Deerwood Too' AM/AOS

I can't remember exactly. I think it was a low 80's. I will look it up when I get home from Omaha.

Paph Tiny Leopard 'Deerwood Too' AM/AOS

Thank you! Unfortunately, the awarded flower from the plant was damaged in transit from the show. The display plants were packed in a covered tub, hauled in and out of the van due an overnight stop and cold weather. That's why I always try and many times fail to take pictures BEFORE bringing...

Paph Tiny Leopard 'Deerwood Too' AM/AOS

Just awarded in Kansas City at the GKCOS Orchid Show last weekend. This is a picture of last year's bloom as I forgot to take one before heading to Kansas City

Paphiopedilum barbigerum var aureum 'Steal My Sunshine' HCC/AOS

Just from the pictures, the one on the right looks to have wider petals and a stockier look. It would be my choice for breeding hybrids.

Paph Darling 'La Tuilerie' HCC/AOS (Madame Martinet X lawreceanum)

It's not something I've tried mainly because the plant's shy blooming characteristic (for me, at least) has discouraged me from using it for breeding.

Paph Darling 'La Tuilerie' HCC/AOS (Madame Martinet X lawreceanum)

Only one is listed, with Paph Maudiae as the pollen parent. It was made by Norris Powell and registered in 1991. It might be interesting to try a Brachy onto it, either thaianum or one of the darker not leucochilums.

Paph Darling 'La Tuilerie' HCC/AOS (Madame Martinet X lawreceanum)

I've found that it is a good grower, just a shy bloomer. Because of that, I sold this one while in bloom. I still have a comparably sized division and two small single growth divisions.

Paph Darling 'La Tuilerie' HCC/AOS (Madame Martinet X lawreceanum)

Registered in 1960 by Vacherot & Lecoufle, the flower was awarded in the U.S. in 1983. Madame Martinet is (callosum X delenatii)

    Paph Doll's Kobold 'F2-#2'

First of the F2 generation cross that I kept. The other two are in spike. This blooming is lighter than previous bloomings.

Paphiopedilum (Bellatrix x bellatulum) x bellatulum

Love it! Do you think that the genetics from godefroyae helped create the finer spots?

Paphiopedilum barbigerum var aureum 'Steal My Sunshine' HCC/AOS

They are beautiful flowers. It's obvious you are growing barbigerum as well as it can be grown. I also have the issue with the nearest judging center being distant. Some judges may live near you that would be willing to bring your plant with them.
