    Paph wilhelminae division

I would like to find a nice division of a wilhelminae. I have some seedling wilhelminae from Sam, and a couple of import plants from the bay. I have room for one more pot in the paph growing area so that's what I'd like to put there. Any offers or leads?

    Fake Bellinas

There is a documented history of suspect breeding that continues to plague the violacea and bellina species. The mixing of bellina and violacea was the beginning, but now you see micholitzii and who knows what else showing up in supposed species.

    T5 housing flickering?

Sucks that your light didn't even last a year. I am using cheap, plastic T8's for supplemental lighting and I wonder if they will hold out until I figure out something better. They are true junk. Sounds like you are back up and running now though. Don't worry about the email, get to it when...

    Hymenocallis caribaea 'Tropical Giant'

The filaments coming out of the edge that hold the pollen are long, but so is the one coming out of the center of the flower which has a stigma at the tip. So the pollinator bouncing around from anther to anther could land on the stigma.

    Hymenocallis caribaea 'Tropical Giant'

I'm sorry everyone. I don't have a computer, just an android phone and iPad, so I am trying to figure out how to properly resize images using multiple apps/platforms/image hosts. I think I almost have it figured out now. Are these sizes better? I don't detect a fragrance yet, but it was...

Fuuran - Fuukiran - Neofinetia falcata Megathread

I love digging up the information, but I'm no expert. It seems like just yesterday Jason wrote his, but that was ten years ago.

    Hymenocallis caribaea 'Tropical Giant'

These are blooming in the afternoon rain here in South Carolina. We just transplanted them in June with some Crinum lilies, so it was a surprise to see a bloom stalk. Hymenocallis caribaea 'Tropical Giant' or spider lily.

Fuuran - Fuukiran - Neofinetia falcata Megathread

Thanks Marco, I'll get those added ASAP. I got signed into Neo-base. It's pretty cool. I still have some more photos and things to add here, and I am going to contribute some to Neo-base too.

Fuuran - Fuukiran - Neofinetia falcata Megathread

I have heard of Neo Base, but its information is locked behind a registration. This thread will be much more visible, indexed and easily found on a search engine. Plus, it never hurts to have more than one site with info in case one goes down.

Fuuran - Fuukiran - Neofinetia falcata Megathread

Back in September of 2006, almost ten years ago now, I posted a thread on this forum asking Jason Fischer to come to Slippertalk and discuss Japanese orchids. He shared his wisdom about Neofinetia falcata in several posts. You can see that thread here...

    Need Neofinetia falcata suggestions...

I think I might tuck an Amami in between the potted plants on the back deck next year and see what happens.

    Need Neofinetia falcata suggestions...

Nishidemiyako sounds interesting. If I moved the Darwinara to a different growing area, I would have room for Seikai, Kinginrasha, Nishidemiyako and another bean leaf, maybe Kabutomaru? :rollhappy:

    Need Neofinetia falcata suggestions...

Mark - bean leaf varieties were my first Neo obsession. They always look amazing in clumps. I'm looking up those you listed. How does one order from barampung? US distributor? Marco - I have read that Hanakanzashi needs to be multiple growths and really healthy to bloom three tails. Not...
