In all your visits to Columbia, have you seen a population that all look like what we call Phrag fischeri?

Sold Free compots - Phrag Green Hornet x fischeri

Doesn't have one yet. Dunno how big these seedlings will get before they bloom.

    Phrag fischeri

I really like this little guy. Its staminodal shield is missing, as is not uncommon for this species. I expect it will self pollinate as it did last blooming. I'll let one pod grow and send the seeds for flasking if it gets that far. --Stephen

Sold Free compots - Phrag Green Hornet x fischeri

Hi all, I've got 3 free Phrag compots for the first person in the US to PM me. They are 15 months out of flask from a cross I made. One of the compots is bare root, as I kept 3 plants for myself. I don't have room for the rest. I'd like to ship them out ASAP. --Stephen

Yup, first bloom seedling. It's the first of this cross to show such strong besseae influence.

Wanted BS Paph druryi (for $$$ or trade for my tigrinum)

Hi all, I am looking for a BS Paph druryi. The more growths, the better. If someone has one, I can buy it or trade for a division of my Paph tigrinum: I repotted this one a few months ago. It has a couple big old roots and is putting out nice new roots. Here's its first bloom...

Drying and epoxying slippers - any advice?

Hi all, I'm planning on making some pendants of a small Phrag. I have watched many YouTube videos on this, but does anyone have advice they can share? I've bought this silica gel to dry the blooms: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WGK2KCW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I'm doing it in silica gel in...

Phrag Susan Robertson - my first hybrid

Hi all, I just bloomed my first orchid hybrid: Phrag Susan Robertson (Manzur la Aldea x Barbara Leann). I named it for my late aunt. The pouch is pinched, but hopefully it is normal on subsequent blooms. This one plant bloomed 13 months out of flask. I have a bunch more that should bloom...

    Phragmipedium Stephen Manza

This is widely considered to be the greatest orchid hybrid produced by mortal hands. Eric has a disturbingly large shrine to it in his living room. Pod sibs - Green Hornet x Barbara Leann --Stephen

    Paph liemianum

I dunno why any of my orchids bloom 🤷‍♂️ My temps are about 65 in winter, 72 in summer. Basically whatever keeps us comfortable inside. Humidity stays at 65-75% in the cabinet. 12 hours of light per day. I don't vary it by season so as not to confuse our cockatiel who lives near the...
