    Paph. haynaldianum var. laurae?

It doesn't have the greenish colouring of the staminodal shield, that was such a characteristic feature of the flower of the mindanao type in the link, you provided us with. The conondrum continues! Maybe your flower simply illustrates the great varity within this species (cf. P. gratrixianum)

Some of my Paphs of the section Sigmatopetalum in 2023

How can you be sure it isn't, Bruch? Rudolf most certain just want to brag about his uncanny photorealistic prowess in aquarelle by first showing his artistic endavours, then presenting an in-toto photo of his motive! ๐Ÿคฃ

    Weโ€™ve finally moved

Hear, hear! Rudolf, it's not a locker- it's the living quarter left to David by the plants! ๐Ÿ˜

    Paph. haynaldianum var. laurae?

Nice flower but somewhat different from my var. laurae: Closer, though, when the flowers were seen in another, very bright light (direct, midday sun)

I can't for the life of me fathom, how such plants in any ways legally can enter any country outside the country of their origin? Even export/import of seeds or for that matter dead tissue from such species would to my knowledge be excluded due to CITES-regulations. That they might, and that no...

    Orchids 2023

WAUW! And if the only thing you can complain about in a nigh perfect Roth, is that you would wish for slightly more separation between the flowers, you certainly with justification could be called a 'nitpicker'! ๐Ÿ˜ Congrats on the very well deserved award! Certainly a regal lowii! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Kind...

    Cattleya trianae concolor โ€˜Orionโ€™

They seem to have a nice stock of plants and sympathetic policies on plant trading! Alas, out of the reach of us continental Europeans! ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

    Cattleya trianae concolor โ€˜Orionโ€™

Douce and lovely, David! ๐Ÿ™‚ Whence did you get it? I, myself, just acquired one from a Polish vendor. I'm very curious whether it - at the price, I paid for it - turns out to be, what the tag says, it is?! But as they were the ones, who provided me with the C. aurantiaca 'Mishima Spots', I...

Rudolf is only getting "ideological", when referring to KEW as the ultimate authority in matters taxonomical! ๐Ÿ˜ Actually, he is otherwise a reasonable man, which - as he mentions - is reflected by the fact, that we more often than not share the same views! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Joking aside, I've got to "know"...

    micranthum glanzeanum ( album)

Stunning glory, Istvan! โœŒ๏ธ May the specks, affecting both this flower and your vietnamense (Botrytis?), be due to your new watering regime? If so, maybe you should isolate your Paphs, when in bud, and water them more carefully? (May not have shown itself as a problem during seasons with a...

    Orchids 2023

Lovely, just lovely, Justin! (And, maybe, just a tad beckoning to the Green-eyed Monster! ๐Ÿ˜‰) I came to your thread with a slight delay, so otherwise just a few belated remarks: I love your clone of Roth 'Borneo' - a wonderful, classic reminder of the natural beauty of Roths, before...

    Dealing with being laid off.

I've been out of circuit for a while, and thus first seen your recent update a little late, CK. Congratulations on your new job! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™‚

The clone in question is a result of a cooperation between two STC-members - of whom, Fibre, is the one. I got the plant from him.

    Cattleya aurantiaca 'Mishima Spots'

Thank you, Bruch! Always glad to oblige - but being an in-toto-fetichist myself, I hardly could do otherwise! ๐Ÿ˜‰
