    Paph stonei

Second bloom of this Paph. stonei (Pete's x Jame's best) I got years ago. It bloomed a couple of years ago and got really crippled with thrip damage. The top bud of this bloom has either thrip damage or chemical burn from the Conserve I sprayed. The mother plant carries 5 flowers maybe in a...

    Rlc. Toshie Aoki ‘Pizzaz’

This is Toshie Aoki 'Pizzaz' from the original cloning batch from Starke. It's grown in very high light and the red flaring intensifies with higher the light levels. I've seen it with more red and with much less red, depending on culture and the health of the plant. So 'Pizzaz' can have a...

5 flowers is great for such a young, compact growing plant. I love the petal color.

    Paph. Prince Edward of York

Thanks all! I like the flowers and hope the spike will stretch out on later blooms as Rick suggested. It's growing next to the roth I pictured earlier. Maybe a bit too bright.

    Phal. equestris var coerulea culture...

I'm sorry, but I don't grow with lights and have no idea about what is needed. It seems to me that some equestris flowering may be daylength or temperature related. I'm certain not all are as I can have equestris blooming in almost any month. It does seem that some clones or varieties may...

    Phal. equestris var coerulea culture...

If you got it in spike in September, I'd expect it to rebloom around September. They certainly look large enough. I don't know how much light it's getting, perhaps a bit brighter? The leaves are nice, but quite green.
