Lc. Prism Palette ‘Carnival’ AM/AOS (awarded plant Waldor) (Colorama x C. Horace)

Oh, I do have another ‘Carnival’ from Orchid Alley. Plato Mathews told me it was a division of the original plant from Fred Stewart. It might be a division of the original, but it’s not a division of the awarded, and so far has not compared to this one. It was not a very healthy plant when I...

Lc. Prism Palette ‘Carnival’ AM/AOS (awarded plant Waldor) (Colorama x C. Horace)

David Off says this is the best of the Prism Palettes. It definitely is more distinctive than ‘Mischief’ They were awarded the AM on this plant. I’m sure it’s the best he’s seen, but to my eye there was one better (different name) at a local show a couple of years ago. Im working on getting a...

    Where to buy supplies?

I don’t think so, but you could ask. This thread was about buying supplies, so I was responding to that. She’s a smaller operation and I like some of the variety of clear pots/center cone aerators she sells. I placed an order and shipping is estimated at the time. She refunded almost a third of...

    Where to buy supplies?

This is a great source for clear plastic pots of unusual sizes. Also some unique items such as individual cones for aerating pots. Shipping is actual cost. https://quarteracreorchids.com/

    Paph leucochilum fma album

I so agree about other sites offering no more than Wow’s and Like’s. Who has time for that? This site, by contrast, is a wealth of shared knowledge and info and very valuable because of those with expertise and experience from all around the globe. In many cases, those who’ve worked with or...

    Where to buy supplies?

Before the current supply chain/shipping crisis, Josh’s Frogs was the best place for Irchiatta unless getting a pallet. Now with shipping issues it’s gone up, but may still be the best.

Tomorrow , April 30th is our day of sorrow

I’ve loved seeing the hard working Vietnamese I’ve come to know realize the American dream. They’ve become citizens, love this country and have enjoyed the fruit of their hard work. It’s what America was founded for, freedom.

    Very limited anecdotal evidence, but...

Ray, I’ve never bloomed this plant before as it came to me in spike but I did put KelpMax solution on the spike where the flower stem joins it once, about 3 weeks ago. It opened and is still open 2 days after the second flower opened. Phrag. Susan Kulhavi (Saint Oven ‘Ice Queen’ JC/AOS x...

    Rand Air Cone pot

I started with Rand’s aircone and gave them up at the next repot. The only negative was they are thick plastic and I could not get the plants out even after soaking. I had to use my husband’s tin snips to cut them off!! I have arthritis in my hands from all my years pruning hybrid tea roses...
