    Yellowing Paph and Phrag Leaves

Thank you for the advice! I'll start by trying a new fertilizer. Is there one in particular that you would recommend that I try to help rectify the problem? There are so many different choices, and it is hard to decide on one. I know that I'll have to find one that works best for my growing...

    Yellowing Paph and Phrag Leaves

I was using Dyna Grow at 1/4 tsp per gallon every time I watered, which is usually every three days, and have most of my phrags sitting in about a half inch of fresh water. Now I am using K-Lite at 1/2 tsp per gallon once a week. I change the water underneath them every three days and run enough...

    Yellowing Paph and Phrag Leaves

Here are a couple of phrags that are yellowing. The first one is starting to yellow on the upper leaves as well.

    Yellowing Paph and Phrag Leaves

All of my paphs and phrags have great roots and new growths, but the very bottom leaf turns yellow and dies. It happens to all of them except for my brachys. I tried changing fertilizers, from a balanced one to K-Lite, with no success. I have also tried epsom salt to see if that helped. Does...

    Growing paphs in low humidity

Like Linus Cello said, I use an ultrasonic humidifier next to the plants and a small fan to gently blow the humid air towards them. The humidity stays high around them, but relatively low in the rest of the room. My multiflorals are happy with that.

I do love this one! But I really do pamper them all the same. I get up almost two hours earlier every day just so I can spend time looking over them and taking care of each one. My fiance thinks I love them more than him! haha Good luck with yours!

    Mottled Leaf Seedlings

I sent them a message and they said that their compots don't show mottling at first and then it starts to appear later. They said to give them a few more months. Very interesting! I am excited to eventually see it on my babies! It's nice to get large healthy plants, but there is just something...

    Mottled Leaf Seedlings

I have Wood Wonder seedlings 3 months out of flask right now. There is no mottling whatsoever and I'm trying to figure out if there could have been a mix up.

    Mottled Leaf Seedlings

Are all mottled leaf paphs mottled as seedlings in flask or can it form with maturity?

Mossy, I grow it along with all of my other paphs in a North East facing window and high humidity. I heard that they prefer warmer temperatures but this winter the temps range from a low of 58 to a high of 68 on the windowsill. The only difference from my other paphs is the potting mix. I...

I sprinkle pelletized dolomite lime on top of the mix every couple of months and it seems to be doing well with it. I use some spaghnum in my mix so it helps raise the pH too.

This one is doing best under lights.

    Paph Tigrinum Repot

A few weeks ago I put my tigrinum in a wood slat basket with only sphagnum. When I repotted it the only good roots it had were two actively growing roots that were less than an inch long each. Now, they have grown enough to hold the plant up firmly so I assume that it likes the change. I water...

Thank you! Troy, I am using an ultrasonic humidifier and two small fans for circulation. The humidity stays around 70%. I didn't know that it keeps blooms longer. Hopefully they stay around for a while! Around 3 or 4 weeks is typical for blooms, right?
