    Maxillaria nardoides

Dot, this is the second mounted Maxillaria I own—the other one is Maxillaria uncata. All my other Maxillaria are growing in net pots in sphagnum moss. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Maxillaria nardoides

Hello Ozpaph, I had no preference. This is how it came from the vendor. Lately I have seen more smoothed wood mounts on eBay. From an aesthetic point of view I prefer cork. The texture of cork is very appealing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Maxillaria nardoides

Here is a small Maxillaria mounted on 3”x5” wood mount. Close up of the bulbs. At one time this plant was named “Christonella”. This plant is grown in bright shade, warm to hot. It needs to be consistently hydrated allowing to dry out between watering. Plenty of fresh, moving air.

    Diplocaulobium aratriferum

Yes it does seem a lot of effort for one day of work. But I think it is challenging me to get it to grow more pseudobulbs so that the number of pseudobulbs will provide a bouquet. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Diplocaulobium aratriferum

Hello Naoki. Longer than that. This flower showed signs of opening one afternoon. By the next morning it was fully opened. But by 4pm that afternoon it turned red, and slowly started shriveling by night fall--so 8am-5pm? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Diplocaulobium aratriferum

Lumped in with Debdrobium, sometimes referred to as "watermelon" orchid because of its flower scent. It is from New Guinea. It is a warm to hot grower, likes bright light, "Oncidium" strength. I allow it to dry completely before watering. It is in a 2" pot and I probably should re-pot. I...

How Common is it for Neofinetia falcata to Bloom Twice a Year?

Furan, especially the ones closest to the primary specie seem to bloom twice a year. My Nishidemiyako bloomed very early Spring 2017, and now it is setting up another bloom that will probably flower early October. I do not have any idea what causes reblooming. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Variegated Nogoran

I don't think there are any larger Minmaru shima. This is their size. However there are regular Nagoran that are variegated. As far as the ghosting effect, that Naoki asked about, I haven't seen a completely green free leaf or plant yet. But you do have to ask if no green variegation is...

    Dendrobium moniliforme 'Benikida' & 'Benikomachi'

My experience too! So I have decided to enjoy everyone else's success and not try to grow these plants. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
