Update: Ended up with three flowers awarded second place at my local orchid meeting. What a fun hybrid!

Received this Plant as a small fan a year ago. Excited to see the coming blooms. Theres two emerging on the back stem. Loving the deep red and pink color.

Is it bad i'm thinking oh $700 is only 7 $100 plants! 😂 I grow on two metal racks and lights in a studio apartment. Probably spent a little over $1,000 on plants and new grow supplies this year.

Here is the first flower in it's full glory! The petals have really opened and twisted. Grew this one from a seedling, I haven't been the best at growing besseae hybrids but this one is a winner!

Here is the first flower of Phrag colorado river from woodstream orchids purchased in 2022. There are four flowers so far, hoping maybe this phrag. is a sequential bloomer. Does anyone else have this cross? Would love to see photos to compare!

I was there! Picked up my first walkeriana hybrid C. Snow blind. So many gorgeous plants on display!

I flush the pot but usually don't let it soak, usually water once a week

Just took it out of the pot and even though I watered it yesturday the roots are dry! I was able to just lift it out of the pot. Now looking for a smaller size pot

Should I repot With some moss or smaller bark? It’s winter here in maryland so I feel like it may set the plant back more. Maybe i should soak the pot weekly?
