    Paphiopedilum helenae potting mix

I use clean bark: larger pieces at the bottom, smaller ones at the top. Moss from the summer cottage on the surface. Sometimes I add dolomite flour, but I haven't done it for a long time. Apparently, there is enough calcium in the fertilizer.

    P. species or Pinocchio ?

According to my observations, Pinocchio are very different. And I also agree that it is difficult to find a difference with glaucophyllum. And my primulinum, for example, is very small. Joint photo for comparison.

    Paphiopedilum schoseri

@Taniap be patient) It could stop because of new conditions. Maybe it needs more water. Leaves are looking dry.

How do I get some new roots - FAST!?!?!?

Soft water and high humidity. However, if the plant is weak, no tricks will help, in my opinion. For me, the system of two pots also works well: an inner one with holes and water under it. But in my case, water doesn`t touch the inner pot. Water quality also plays an important role.

    Paphiopedilum superbiens

Yes, an interesting and unclear phenomenon. I also encountered this on plants that used to grow normally for years. For example, purpuratum. Pinocchio has a new growth with this structure.

    paph helenae + thaianum help?

@merc , one thing that a botanical garden employee told me: if a plant is genetically weak, then it is better to throw it away. There is no point in fighting, it will die anyway. Of course, I never do that, but in fact I am convinced of the validity of this point of view. @JayeL , I see no...

    paph helenae + thaianum help?

My experience with helenae has not yet gived blooming and the first plant died, but I can say that she responds very well to soft water (in my case RO) and calcium, good aeration of the roots. For my plants, I always choose a pot that is exactly the size of the root system. The plant you are...
