    Paph. sukhakulii

Very nice!! The problems could be from insufficient watering or too much K(potassium). Even root rot is usually due to these in Paphs, otherwise the roots like to be consistently moist or even wet

    Paphiopedilum anitum for me

    Paph. dayanum

Awesome! I love dayanum, both folliage and flowers!

    A question about runts

I agree, try permanent water in the saucer and consistently moist/wet medium for better growth. Of course some are always bound to be slower and others to be faster, without that necessarily making them runts if they have another nice attribute, but good culture will show its potential

    Paph. wenshanense and concolor characteristics?

Yes, it sounded like that, I wanted to edit my original post right after posting to clarify but the server wasn't responding. Very nice progress on yours! These are some years out of flask and got them for a good price. Let's see how they do for me and when they will eventually flower. I wish...

    Paph. wenshanense and concolor characteristics?

Looking forward to your observations :) The plants above are my Paph. leucochilum, selected for the best leaf patterning among the group. Their parent plants had 10+cm flowers. Great to know that pattern contrast increases with shade! That should make for nicer and bigger leafs. These are...

    Paph. wenshanense and concolor characteristics?

Thank you very much for your detailed replies and the foliage photos! Most appreciated!! I found and read the description of Paph. wenshanense and it's different in inflorescence anatomy(it has an extra bract) from the hybrid and the respective "supposed" parents. So it's a distinct species...

    11 months' growth

Very well grown and a big one! What species is it?

First Flowering vs 2nd, 3rd and so on...

The reference is to the first year of flowering vs the second, etc, not the first flower of an inflorescence vs the second. Most plant groups dont put out the best or even functional flowers on their first year of flowering and need a few years to get it right. Also, as an individual plants gets...

    Paph. wenshanense and concolor characteristics?

That is exactly the kind of first hand information I wanted to know, thank you very much for taking the time to write it down! :) It seems wenshanense and maybe concolor offer the best of both worlds, biggish yellow base color flowers(I do like the red patterns on them) with nice leafs...

    Paph. wenshanense and concolor characteristics?

Hello, I was looking over the Brachypetalum section and from the wetter loving species, Paph. wenshanense looks to be of the nicer ones, with bigger leaf and flower size than the rest of the species. Am I correct in that? I would like to ask how the wenshanense actually compares to...

    Paphiopedilum sukhakulii

Elmer, it's a Tillandsia cyanea. This was its second flowering and It has been continually in flower the past 3 months. It just finished off today :) Thank you Ed! New ones from today, the flower opened and spread some more Paphiopedilum sukhakulii flower by Konstantinos Giannopoulos, on...
