My Cyps

Nicely grown! I love seeing them in a garden setting.

    Cypripedium lichiangense

Not sure that it's rot although I have treated it as such. This year, the climate here has been drier than usual for a few weeks and many of my plants show desiccated leaves that I am attributing to low humidity.

    Cypripedium lichiangense

I saved it but no one wanted it. I then threw it out.

    Cypripedium lichiangense

I had a request to post an image of this plant despite its lack of bloom. I have had it for about 5 years. The first 2 years it was only a only single growth plant without a bloom. In 2016, it had a single growth and a bloom (posted on this site). Last year and this year it produced two...

    Paphiopedilum randsii

Using RO it's total ppm. That, I assume, is all due to the fertilizer.

    Paphiopedilum randsii

I use Michigan State-type fertilizer at 125-150 ppm weekly. The Cyp. lichiangense is growing well with 2 growths. They are about 1.5 inches tall now, but I can't yet see if either growth will bloom.

    Paphiopedilum randsii

The plant 1 was bought as a seedling that was 2 inches across. It took about 5 years to bloom.

    Paphiopedilum randsii

Thanks. They are not fragrant. They've bloomed before, this is the 2018 showing.

    Paphiopedilum randsii

This year's effort from my two randsiis. The plant labeled 1 I have had for 25 years while the one labeled 2 I have only had for about 10 years. Plant 1: [/IMG][/IMG] Plant 2: [/IMG] Flower 2: [/IMG]

Cypripedium parviflorum var. parviflorum comeback 2018

During active growth I keep the windows open and the room gets typical mid-west humidity. The day temps are about 80F and the evenings about 60F; slightly cooler in the spring and autumn.

    Cypripedium segawai

Yes, a pinch of pellet garden lime each spring.

No, they stay in their pots.

Cypripedium parviflorum var. parviflorum comeback 2018

I do not water it while it is in the fridge. I water before I place it in a ziplock bag and they seem not to need any additional water.

Cypripedium parviflorum var. parviflorum comeback 2018

Yes, I would agree. The spectrum is not the same as natural day light so it's hard to give a numerical value to it. It is not comfortable to look at directly which leads me to call it intense.
