That is a magnificent Bel Royal. Great shape and the petals look very wide. And the sepals don't furl like a lot of clones. Certainly, worth the wait and the space. Did you knock the top flower off?

Well Sam did send me a photo of King Kong. Assuming it was legitimate, it looked pretty good. Seven large very dark flowers on a first flowering seedling.

I have a flask of King Kong x Humongous that are growing well. Kiwi said that Sam had told him he had very high hopes for this cross. I would have thought this roth cross was legitimate as both parents are from his own breeding. If it was true that Sam was a bit of a fraudster, it wouldn't make...

I don't bid myself. It is too difficult and expensive to import live plants into Australia. I sometimes just look at that website out of interest.

Looks like Temptation to me too. Kolopakingii has much wider leaves.

Fantastic clone Rick. On of the best I have seen of this cross. Certainly a well-deserved award. The dorsal is especially good. It can often furl in this hybrid because of the kolopakingii influence. Great flower count too for a first flowering seedling. You might get 7 or 8 flowers in future...

Every one of those clones is exceptional. I assume it is not a random sample of the cross. They are all award quality, based on the photos, some maybe even FCC.
